The Criw Cymraeg and Welsh club got together to look at all the entries and choose the top 5 for KS2 and the top 3 for Foundation Phase. It was hard as their were so many fantastic entries but we finally chose the winners. What do you think?

Croeso i tudalen Criw Cymraeg... It is very important to learn to speak Welsh.
Here is why...
By: Phoebe, Alice, Ollie, Tia, Nyah, Leon, Millie a Lexi.
Why do we learn Welsh?
Does all of wales speak welsh? No only 75% of people do so...
We learn Welsh so that when we bump in to people who speak fluent Welsh we can have a conversation.
We also learn Welsh because we live in Wales and Welsh is our language.
Languages can get you a better paid job and can improve your understanding of how other people live and think.
Because learning another language makes you more creative!
Your future best friend could speak Welsh so you know how to communicate with him/her.
We speak Welsh because you can travel more and meet new people.
It boosts your brain power and makes you brainier so it might help you land your dream job.
It also helps us to respect other languages and other cultures, as well as communicate with more people in the community.
The Criw Cymraeg are responsible for encouraging the use of the Welsh language throughout the school in addition to promoting a positive Welsh ethos. There are a number of things that the Criw Cymraeg have planned, including a variety of competitions to help us celebrate Diwrnod Shwmae on October 21st. All of their work will go towards helping us achieve the Cymraeg Campus language charter bronze award, which they are very excited about.
