Christmas is  approaching us and this week has seen our rehearsal time extended as our boys and girls from Reception to Year 6 learn the songs for our performance of The Twelve Days of Christmas. It was delightful to see our younger children on the stage this morning, smiling and enjoying the experience as the older children encouraged them alongside. These are the special moments we share as a school family. Performances begin on Monday 5th with dress rehearsals for the Grandparents - if you intend to come along, please reserve seats. Main performances are scheduled for 6th and 7th December at 1.30 and 5.00 pm with the Nursery production at 10.00 am. The Box Office will be open next week, beginning on Tuesday at 8.00  - 9.15 am and later in the day , 2.45 - 3.30pm. Letters have been sent home today (Friday) with this information.

Later next week, our children will visit The Torch Theatre (Y1,Y3,Y5 on Thursday and Y2,Y4,Y6 on Friday) and Early Years will experience Jugglestruck.

Radio Pembrokeshire have recorded our song for this year's Christmas CD, these should be available before the end of term as will our Christmas Concert DVD.

What a Spotacular end to a truly Spotacular, busy week - Anti Bullying Week, National Safeguarding Week and Children in Need. Throughout the week classes have explored our school Values and our Rights and Responsibilities. Our Year 5 classes have enjoyed Anti Bullying workshops with the Torch Theatre and the whole  school enjoyed a presentation in yesterday's assembly led by our Rights Ambassadors, reminding us of key messages.

We must all congratulate our Urdd Swimming team members for their fantastic achievements in Wednesday's Gala and look forward to the National Finals in Cardiff, next January when our school and County will be represented by 8 of our finalists. We are so very proud of them and are well aware as to how hard they have worked for so many years at this training. Congratulations to those Mums and Dads who have spend so many hours at the poolside - it is all worth it!!! Well Done Amy, Ben, Lucy,Nia, Sophie,Kian, Josh B and Josh P. :)

It is that time of year when we begin to hear the sounds of Christmas at school, walking along the corridors it has been lovely to hear our Harpists and Violinists this week practising Christmas Carols and to listen in to the beginnings of the Christmas rehearsals. It is also that time of year when bugs spread quickly and we are grateful to Nurse Kath and her team for helping us with sparkly handwashing today.

What a fun day we have had!! Throughout the day, we have remained Spotacular as we fundraised with Pudsey - dancing on the spot/ guessing games/baking/car washing etc and all shared in a special assembly this afternoon. Well Done Everyone - £1001.10 so far!!!!!!!

    Have a Spotacular Weekend!!

What a superb Remembrance Assembly this morning, we are so PROUD of our children as they shared their values - especially respect.

We welcomed our 'Best Friends' from next door, Service Personnel, Father Geoff, Governors and our Strategic Parent Group.

We extend a huge thank you to Tom from STP who played The Last Post and Holly for playing her harp, we also thank our Year Six girls who accompanied the harp playing with a moving dance.

The atmosphere/mood was touching and poignant.

This week has been busy with Governors visits, we have had a successful Book Fair and we have started our Family Friday Workshops - look out for more information, see the themes we will be delivering and join us in the near future.

It has been amusing to see teachers arrive at school with all their bags of materials  and to see walls of bread in Year 6!

Thank you to all those parents and grandparents who attended our Science and Slurp session this afternoon.

On Tuesday our Y6  learners visited Withybush Showground to take part in the annual Crucial Crew event and had a wonderful time working with partners  - Fire Brigade, Police Coastguards etc....

Thank you to the parents who have returned our questionnaires all ready.

Family Friday next week - 1.30 pm for Nursery and Reception parents who wish to find out more about our Maths Makes Sense learning system. If you are intending to come along, please complete the form on our Parent page.
