Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
This half term has been 8 weeks long, yet passed so quickly - already the school is making plans for Christmas and beyond.
I thank Year 4 for leading our Harvest Festival this morning, we had many families joining us and the service was clearly enjoyed by all. Thank you to those families who donated tins and dried produce - all of which will be donated to PATCH. We are now approaching half term, whilst the weeks pass so quickly - so much happens in a few days.
The week started with six members of staff, myself included, spending two days in Swansea training to be Thrive Licensed Practitioners. We very much look forward to sharing more information with you about this.
Thrive is a systematic approach to the early identification of emotional development need in children and young people so that differentiated provision can be put in place quickly by the adults working most closely with the child or young person.
As the week progressed, it offered us great success with our team of Cross Country runners - we are very proud of them - well done to every one who participated. We give a special mention to :
Ellie Morgan - 4th
Lacey Thompson - 6th
Olivia Isaac - 10th
Anna Regan - 2nd
Yr 3 Girls - 2nd
Yr 5 Girls - 1st team event
Our Year 5 girls performed particularly well, winning the Year Group trophy in joint 1st position.
The school discos on Thursday proved very popular with children throughout the school - another reminder that half term will soon be with us.
Next week, we have Parents' Evenings and hope to see you. We are also finalising our Health and Wellbeing week with many special activities planned for our children.
Have a good weekend everyone!

+Thank you 6K for ending the week by leading the family assembly this morning and thank you to those families who joined us . There has been a focus on wellbeing across the school this week -
healthy minds and bodies .
It was good to have some reminders for the whole school around how to look after ourselves and where to go if we have any problems. It was also a joy to hear about the promises made by each and every pupil in 6K around how they were going to keep improving their wellbeing.
Well done to our Years 3 and 4 Cluster Cross Country team who performed so well at Fenton C.P. on Wednesday - we were delighted that the event went ahead after initially being postponed.
Well done Tobi and Elen for winning the stamp club c ompetition!
Have a good weekend everyone !

We will open our front doors an hour early on Friday, with the opportunity to pop in for a coffee and chat with Mrs Morris from our Wellbeing Team from 2pm to 3pm. Our ELSA trained staff will also be available to talk to about how you can encourage good mental health at home and to talk about any concerns or questions you may have. Of course, you're welcome just to sit and enjoy a brew!
As part of our awareness-raising around Mental Health this week, we will donate any profits to local mental health charities.
Another busy week with classes working hard at their learning and with so many individuals achieving so much . There seemed to be a real common theme for reasons for this week's Headteacher Awards around showing Values, particularly Caring and supporting others. We have listened to stories about children who have helped each other on the playground or when working in class, supporting each other with learning.
A highlight of our week has to be the launch of the Springboard project, which saw the unveiling of the new Haverfordwest High VC mosaic logo. Our lead pupil for this project was Mischa Dansie Davies, now in Year 7. Mr Clarke was with Mischa and her family at the launch.
We hope that our Year 6 children and families enjoyed last night's open evening at Haverfordwest High.
Have a good weekend everyone.
