We are looking forward to supporting our choir at Llandovery on May 30th for the National Urdd Eisteddod. Pob lwc!
During May Half Term 11 members of our Urdd School Choir travelled to Denbigh, North Wales with dedicated teachers to compete in the National Urdd Eisteddod following their success in the Pembrokeshire Urdd Competition in March 2022.
They were AMAZING and represented themselves and Prendergast School superbly, and even though they were not placed on this occasion their efforts were recognised by both the BBC and S4C News Teams, who recorded their performances and interviewed them about their experiences of being members of the Urdd.
Here's to Llandovery 2023 next year and opportunities for many more of our children to learn Welsh and participate in a wide variety of sports, language and art activities throughout the year.
St David's Day 2022
This years St David's Day was memorable for many reasons. It was the first time that Prendergast took part in the St David's Day parade around the town of Haverfordwest. The event was a huge success. Hundreds of children from various schools took part and even more spectators lined the streets to watch the parade take place.
Prendergast took a group of 30 pupils, all of which represented the school extremely well. Pembrokeshire County Council were running various competitions on the day of the parade and we came away with two 1st prizes - Best Dressed Pupil & Best School Banner.
