Our first visitor
We have been learning all about the Paralympic’s as part of our ‘We are so special’ topic. We have learnt all about our local para athlete, Matt Bush. Matt is a the World Champion at Para Taekwondo and was set for gold at the Tokyo olympics, unfortunately he had an injury and had to pull out.
The children prepared questions for Matt and we were lucky enough to be shown medals, his black belt, his pads and his training equipment.
We all found Matt to be hugely inspirational. When he was asked what he was most proud of, he explained that is was setting a target and working hard to achieve that. He told the classes that if you work hard you can achieve anything - what a great message!
