It has already been a busy start to the year, and normal () service resumes after months away from whole class learning. We are so pleased to see all the children return to school in their class bubbles, ready for a busy term of learning! So far we have seen some fantastic work and are looking forward to building on our skills.
Our first topic this year is a whole school topic that, amongst all the bad news and restrictions, will hopefully bring us all together and celebrate all the wonderful things our world has to offer.
Through pupil voice sessions, the children have decided to focus on the friendship and the beach. What better way to start than reading ‘Sharing a Shell’ by Julia Donaldson. The children have enjoyed creating their story maps and discussing the themes in the story before getting into role of the crab, anemone and bristle worm. I am sure they will rehearsing the story at home too. They have come up with some super adjectives to describe the story characters.
Keep your eyes peeled for more pictures and updates…
