Dinosaur Poo!!!

We acquired some dinosaur poo from The National History Museum.  We used it to find out about herbivores and carnivores. We sorted them out according to what we found in the poo; feathers, bones, leaves, stones, skulls...uch a  fi!!!
After our School Dinosaur Invasion, and a few tips from the local residents about some dinosaur whereabouts, we decided to go and investigate.

We finish this term with our topic 'Glow and Glitter'. We have learnt about nocturnal and diurnal animals, things that shine and things that don't and we investigated what glows in the dark while exploring the outdoors. We enjoyed sharing lots of stories, our favourite was 'Laura's Star'- we made star shaped biscuits, wrote wishes on stars and decorated them with our favourite shiny decorations!

December crept up quickly and we loved performing in our concert, we filled the stage with  real stars and angels!!

We loved our Christmas dinner, having giggles and fun with our friends.

Reception staff wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year  which will be full of excitement with our new topics.

Our Visit to Prendergast Play Park

Welcome to our Reception Classes 2019!!!

We welcome Mrs Gwilt and Miss Morgan to our Reception Team.

We have a very busy and active term ahead with our new topic 'Jump!, Roll!, Hop! and Run!' This topic focuses on developing our physical skills and independence.

We settled into our new classes for the first couple of days, with the help of our always popular story 'The Kissing Hand'. We identified together the feelings of our first day at school. And we are  ready for 'Rocket Races', it doesn't get any better- rockets and dinosaurs in the same story!

We are loving building rockets and having playground races. More to come...
