Mrs. Davies' Blog Autumn Term week 7

We are now approaching half term, whilst the weeks pass so quickly - so much happens in a few days.

The week started with six members of staff, myself included, spending two days in Swansea training to be Thrive Licensed Practitioners.  We very much look forward to sharing more information with you about this.

Thrive is a systematic approach to the early identification of emotional development need in children and young people so that differentiated provision can be put in place quickly by the adults working most closely with the child or young person.

As the week progressed, it offered us great success with our team of Cross Country runners - we are very proud of them - well done to every one who participated.  We give a special mention to :

Ellie Morgan - 4th

Lacey Thompson - 6th

Olivia Isaac - 10th

Anna Regan - 2nd

Yr 3 Girls - 2nd

Yr 5 Girls - 1st team event

Our Year 5 girls performed particularly well, winning the Year Group trophy in joint 1st position.

The school discos on Thursday proved very popular with children throughout the school - another reminder that half term will soon be with us.

Next week, we have Parents' Evenings and hope to see you.  We are also finalising our Health and Wellbeing week with many special activities planned for our children.

Have a good weekend everyone!
