Thank you all for a fantastic year, particularly the children who have been magnificent throughout the year. Thank you also to our parents, carers and families, who yet again, have been super and so supportive in every way.
Have a great break everyone - enjoy the family time especially and we look forward to an new school year in September - new term begins Tuesday 4th September.
What a busy end of term we are having! Whilst the children are working hard, they are also having lots of fun. Many classes have had trips out and all have been planning treats between now and the end of term.
Important to note our term of term is TUESDAY! We hope to see all the children in school to enjoy the last two days of term.
Our Year 6 children led their Leavers Assembly this morning and there were many tears . It was great to be able to focus on each one of them and to celebrate their achievement throughout their time at Prendergast.They have been a wonderful group of children , a credit to their teachers and parents. Likewise, their families have also been fantastically supportive and we shall miss working with many of them as the children move on to Year 7 - we wish them every success.
I would like to sincerely thank the children, parents and of course the Y6 team who have helped to make this group of children achieve so well in so many ways.

What an important week for our children as they experienced their new classes for September. A special mention for our Year 6 children who spent two days at Haverfordwest High VC on Wednesday and Thursday - the feedback on their return was exceptionally positive, we wish them every success for September. Well done also to the other children at school who enjoyed meeting their new teachers - the new term will soon be with us with exciting learning ahead.
The week ended with a delightful assembly led by Reception children from both classes. They shared songs and films with the whole school, parents, carers and grandparents - the theme based on learning together.
A week has passed since our school fete and I am pleased to let you know that we raised almost £1400, many thanks to all .
7 school days left before the long summer break still with lots of activities to look forward to . Have a good weekend.

We are now rapidly approaching the end of term and our Y6 children are getting ready to move on to Secondary school . At different points this week, we have seen them preparing for their Leavers Assembly. The week started with all Haverfordwest Year 6 pupils leading a Sustainability Summit at Withybush Showground, an event which was highly successful. On Tuesday, they met again on Portfield site at the Secondary school to join in a Music morning event which the children enjoyed. Next Wednesday and Thursday , they will experience their transition days and we wish them good luck with this.
At the other end of the school , our very youngest children in September had their transition into Nursery - it was good to see so many little people. Miss Harte who has been at the school for many years will be leading the Nursery team from the beginning of the academic year and she is very much looking forward to working with the children and staff.
Thank you to everyone who either helped, or joined us at the Summer fete this afternoon. It was so good to see so many share the good weather with us, whilst supporting our school.
