What a wonderful week we have had in school. It has been truly fantastic to have our Foundation Phase children back in school throughout the week and we can't wait to have them all return everyday next week.

I thank the children for the wonderful way in which they have returned to school - so excited and ready ! Thank you to those parents and carers who have prepared them so well.

We do so hope that our KS2 children will be joining us in the near future and we will all be together back at school.

Next week, we shall be celebrating St Davids Day on Monday. Children on school site may choose to wear traditional costume or Red , White and Green  and we will all enjoy a pre recorded celebration in the afternoon - available to all  at home and at school.

On Thursday , we shall celebrate World Book Day in a similar way.

Also starting again next week, we have our Early Breakfast Club provision for working parents and we welcome Cubs Cwtch on site who will begin our after school and holiday club provision.

Have a good weekend everyone. Stay Safe !

    Good Afternoon Everyone,

We have now reached the end of half term and what an unusual and unexpected time it has been.  Many thanks to those children and parents who have worked so hard at home throughout the last few weeks.  A big well done to you all.  Well done also for those children who have been working on school site and keeping themselves and others safe.  Indeed, big congratulations to our whole school community.

After half term, our Foundation Phase Learners will begin to return to school full time.  You should have received a letter yesterday, which provided details of who was due to attend in the first week.  We aim for all Foundation Phase Learners to be at school by Monday 1st March.  The letter provided details of our ongoing risk assessment and protocol.  It can be found on our website - parents - useful information.

For parents who are Critical Workers and have children in Years 3-6, you can still use our face to face learning provision at school and the booking process will remain the same.

I do hope that you all have a good break next week and that the new half term will see us staying safe and having more and more of us on site.

It is Valentine's Day on Sunday, boys and girls - be kind to those you love and who care for you, let them know how special they are to you.

Please stay safe and follow Government guidance.  Please stay in your household bubble - no sleepovers, parties or playdates.........yet!

I hope you have all had a good week and enjoyed watching our assembly today. Please remember that there is a Headteachers Award you can download at home if you would like to present it to your child for super home learning  - just go to "useful information " on the website.

Welsh Government announced today a  phased return to school for Foundation Phase children after half term. We shall be working with our LA over the next few days as to how this will look in Pembs and I shall inform you asap  of how this will work for us when I have news during next week.

Please take Government guidance  - no parties, sleepovers, playdates etc.. we want all of our families to stay safe.

Finally, many of you who attended Prendergast School yourselves or who have had older children at the school, will remember, with fond memories, Mrs Pam Hughes, Caretaker. Sadly, Pam has recently passed away after a long illness, our thoughts are with her family today

    particularly .

Have a good weekend everyone, stay safe
