Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Thank you to 6C who today led our first Community assembly of the academic year. The focus was on World Heart Day which is to be held tomorrow. The children reminded us of the importance of looking after our hearts and offered their promises which aim to keep them healthy .
It was good to see families join us for the event .
Our Macmillan afternoon was enjoyed by many and sincere thanks to those who donated cakes .
Throughout the week, we have focussed on attendance and rewarded the classes who had 100% attendance on specific days this week. Particular congratulations to 2P who had 100% for four days in a row!
It has been a very busy and productive week beginning with the appointment of our Head Boy and Head Girl. Thirteen excellent applicants were interviewed and each and everyone of them was superb. Big thanks to Jaimee and Elsie, our Y5 School Councillors who were fantastic members of the interview panel - what a difficult job. All children who were interviewed should be proud of their success.
Many, many congratulations Josh ( Head Boy) and Tegan ( Head Girl).
Have a good weekend everyone.

What a great week back. Throughout the week, all staff have spoken so positively about the manner in which all of the children have settled so well into their new classes. They have returned from the summer holidays looking so smart( thank you parents ) with happy faces, full of chat and a readiness to work hard. I am very proud of them, they have been a joy from our very youngest who started afternoon Nursery to our older Y6 children and of course all the new entries across the school. Thank you to all the parents for encouraging this super attitude towards school.
Over the first two weeks, we are concentrating on routines and practices with the children, encouraging their independent skills before they embark on their topic. I am sure that the children have lots of school news to share at home.
Our school's attendance target is set again this year at 96% and we would encourage maximum learning time at school for all children. We want them to be the best that they can be and excellent attendance will support this.
We look forward to working with our parents and community throughout this school year, if there are any of you who have some time to spare at school, with reading or any other activity , please let us know.
Good Luck to all our Iron Kids this weekend.
