This week at school has passed so quickly.

Firstly, a huge thank you to all our parents and carers who have worn face coverings when on school site this week. It is so very important that we, as a community, do all we can to keep each other safe at this increasingly challenging time. I am so proud of everyone's efforts, our respectful entrance and exits are second to none.

Christmas is certainly on its way here at school and we intend to offer our children the best Christmas we can.  We will be relying on you to support a little with song and dance over the weekend if you can. You may want some fun doing the dance with your little ones, filming yourselves for about 5 seconds or so and sending the video into school to share.

Finally, whilst Christmas is a special time of year for families , we are well aware that this year, more than ever , it will be a time of concern and hardship for many. If you have any concern or worries, please contact school ( you can leave a message for a call back on the answering machine) next week and Mrs Reynolds or Mrs Jenkins will get back to you.

    Have a great weekend.

The week has passed so quickly and already Christmas plans are being discussed. You will have received a letter today which outlines some of our planned events... well in advance.

We are aiming to have as Christmas as normal as possible for the children . They will have Christmas dinner on Sparkle Day , Christmas parties, Christmas Craft  and a virtual pantomime in their Bubbles.

We will also begin to put together a virtual Christmas production which can be viewed by all of you, we will do all we can to involve you as families, aware that you will not be on school site with us during the festive period.

Also today, you will have a letter which politely requests that from next week on ,( following advice from PCC), parents and carers wear face coverings when on school site, dropping off and collecting children. We need to do all we can to keep our community safe and reduce Covid transmission in our local community. We want everyone to have a good Christmas in just over a month.

I hope that you all have a good weekend.

    Fri 13 Nov 2020 Mrs D Davies

What a wonderful day we have had today  - the children looked great in their spots and brights and we have had a great whole school virtual assembly in which they were able to share with the rest of the school, the activities that they have been engaging in within their class bubble.

Thank you yet again for all your many donations - another amazing response from our great families. It ends a busy week . Our Remembrance Service again this year was delightful thanks to the children's contributions and was not tarnished by being a virtual event.

Year 5 and 6 have a letter to go home today regarding a virtual open evening on Monday.

I hope to send out our Christmas events calendar to you next week - we are planning a great and safe Christmas here at school for the children.

    Have a good weekend all.

I hope that you all had a good half term and that you and your families are all safe and well.

The children have had a great week at school, we are proud of the efforts they have made.

Today we had a live, virtual assembly and it was great to see all of the children together on screen in their class bubbles.

The children will be taking home two letters today -one will be informing you that Cubs Corner will be providing our After School provision from January 2020, they will also be offering full holiday provision. The provision will be known to us as Cwbs Cwtch. You may want to take advantage of this and so you have notice well in advance.

The other letter is about two events planned for the next week at school  -

We shall be marking Remembrance Day next Wednesday with a whole school virtual service. Throughout this week, all classes have been focussing on Remembrance and will contribute towards the assembly. We will shall share this with you via the school website after the viewing next week, in a similar way that you had the opportunity to view our Harvest Festival.

On Friday, we shall be enjoying Children in Need activities. We would encourage the children to wear "spotty or bright " clothing but do not want this to be an expense for you, please use what you already have at home. We shall place buckets at the entrances into school should you wish to make a small donation and will also leave out our PATCH trolleys, so if you wish you can drop in a tin or some dried produce. It is important, this year , more than ever, that our children realise the local as well as widespread affects of the pandemic and the need to support PATCH if we are in a position to do so.

Thank you all for your ongoing support, please keep safe over the weekend.
